marketing AIM  was first registered in Finland back in 1992 by Mike Flower. The company was formed to promote Finnish tech and telecom companies on the international stage above all the noise generated by Nokia.

For over 6 years companies represented by marketing AIM  got more international coverage than in reality they would normal receive. The reason behind this success was quite simple: Mike came from the international tech and telecom publishing world, providing him with invaluable contacts and editorial insight.

Trading as marketing AIM, Mike also held official positions with two of his biggest Finnish clients: International Press Officer at telecommunications company, Finnet International, whilst also holding the title of Sales & Marketing Manager at video-codec chip designer VistaCom.

A history to be proud of...

With the telecom crash in 2001, Ericsson withdrew from all external international PR programmes, leaving Mike to resurrect marketing AIM  in Hampshire to serve a range of local businesses to IT-computer integrator company Yes Europe Networks based in London.

After a stint with a small privately owned silicon/IT PR specialist, where experience was broadened by gaining valuable insights from clients ranging from a leading silicon IP company to a manufacturer of parallel NAS for supercomputing environments, it was time to put marketing AIM  back where it belongs - as a leading tech and telecom PR & marketing consultancy. Our company name is simple and deliberately so.

The marketing AIM  difference is getting the large agency experience at a fraction of the cost with an unrivalled client relationship no matter how big or small your company: from one off projects to fully integrated marketing and PR programmes.

In 1998, on a compassionate leave to the UK, Mike was tempted with an offer of working with the largest independent global PR agency where the main client was Ericsson. Working with the various business divisions and product units of Ericsson across Europe and linking in with the Americas and Asia was something he could not refuse. Over  3 years his successes included maximising coverage of the Bluetooth launch, being asked to step in as interim chairman to the HiperLAN2 Global Forum, writing a global PR handbook for Ericsson Networks and topping out with lobbying the WCDMA standard as the 3G standard for Europe and the predominant mobile standard around the world.
